Black Flag Barbell Club
At Inspired Physiotherapy we take an holistic approach to recovering from an injury and see the need for more specialised coaching to progress past the injury phase and into the strength training phase. We are very proud to be an affiliate of Black Flag Barbell Club which provides new and existing clients the best quality equipment to conquer their strength goals. (Strength and conditioning initial assessments can be done at Inspired Physio premises as an initial consultation for existing clients).
What is Black Flag Barbell Club?
Black Flag Barbell Club was started to provide a supportive and hardworking atmosphere for those chasing down their strength goals. Black Flag Barbell Club is not about losing weight or winning triathlons – it is about picking up heavy things, and getting better at it. Black Flag Barbell Club strives to provide:

Head Coach of Black Flag
Our principal strength and conditioning coach is Chris Mooney who has been strength training for a number of years, achieving personal bests (so far…) of a 240kg squat, 180kg bench press, and 270kg deadlift. Chris has graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sport Science) and a Masters in Physiotherapy. Chris’s academic background gives him the ability to work with clients who have an existing injury that they may think is preventing them from reaching their goals.
Being involved in strength coaching for a number of years, Chris has coached lifters from all walks of life – beginner to national record holder, grid iron player to police officer.
